Pain. Suffering. Connection. Growth. Renewal. Flight.

“I do not believe that sheer suffering teaches. If suffering alone taught, all the world would be wise, since everyone suffers. To suffering must be added mourning, understanding, patience, love, openness and the willingness to remain vulnerable.”
~ Anne Morrow Lindbergh ~
“Growth is a painful process.
If we’re ever going to collectively begin to grapple with the problems that we have collectively, we’re going to have to move back the veil and deal with each other on a more human level.”
~ Wilma Mankiller ~

What a great post and such profound amazing quotes. I especially love these quotes:
“I do not believe that sheer suffering teaches. If suffering alone taught, all the world would be wise, since everyone suffers. To suffering must be added mourning, understanding, patience, love, openness and the willingness to remain vulnerable.”
    ~ Anne Morrow Lindbergh ~
and of course the one by the late and wonderful Wilma Mankiller who was a wonderful woman and a wonderful Cherokee Leader whom we’ve recently lost.

“I do not believe that sheer suffering teaches. If suffering alone taught, all the world would be wise, since everyone suffers. To suffering must be added mourning, understanding, patience, love, openness and the willingness to remain vulnerable.”

Oopsy… pasted wrong quote for Wilma ManKiller:

Perhaps since that theme seems to keep coming up – “Being Human” or “Remembering how to be human” it is something we should all focus more on and remind each other that we are human and not only is that okay but that us beautiful.
Let us embrace each other in our humanness, let us embrace each other in our original earthly living beingness. In Indigenous words ( or ways of thought) Let us embrace all of our Relations. We are related to all things. Let us lift each other up and heal.
